Current glove Demand for Coronavirus
In December 2019, an outbreak of a novel type of coronavirus was identified in Wuhan, the capital city of the Hubei Province in Central China. The virus has resulted in an increasing number of fatalities in China and it has been confirmed in many additional countries.
This Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) belongs to the Coronaviridae family. Other viruses in this family are the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) and Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS). Because there is evidence of human-to-human transmission, and a continued risk of infection, we would like to assure you that all medical gloves offered by Sempermed® are Class I medical devices and are tested according to the following standard:
ASTM F1671: Standard Test Method for Resistance of Materials Used in Protective Clothing to Penetration by Blood-Borne Pathogens Using Phi-X174 Bacteriophage Penetration as a Test System
For more information, The Center for Disease Control has issued a guidance for infection control as it relates to the 2019 Novel Coronavirus. This guidance is available at the link below:

It is too early to determine if there will be a significant increase in demand for our gloves. Assuming the number of reported cases in the US remains relatively low, we do not expect a significant uptick in glove demand.
If the virus results in a substantial impact on customer demand, we will supply accordingly. We do not foresee any supply issues at this time. We have a wide range of products that are available, and we carry an ample supply of each.
Be assured that Sempermed is monitoring the situation closely and will communicate further details as they become available. Should we recognize any noteworthy impacts on supply, we will inform you about our product availability and plans for allocation.
We are the glove representatives participating in conversations with other industry leaders in medical and distribution as well as government agencies such as WHO, NIOSH, CDC, SNS, ASPR, HHS.
At Sempermed, we care about your comfort and protection, always. It is the driving force behind what we do. Our gloves are disposable. The people we protect are not. ®
